Follow the steps below and become a registered bookkeeper with Inland Revenue

The main benefit for Bookkeepers if they register with Inland Revenue is one logon – it means a bookkeeper does not have multiple logons for each client in myIR which can take time going in and out of clients separate myIR accounts. Bookkeepers can have one logon and the clients are linked and would sit in the bookkeepers myIR space (similar to a tax agent), saving time and money. You will be a Registered Bookkeeper with IR once you reach 10 clients.

There are three easy steps to become a Registered Bookkeeper with IR*:

Step 1: Visit Inland Revenue’s intermediary registration page and follow the instructions;

Step 2: Complete the statutory declaration requirements;

Step 3: Become a Registered Bookkeeper with IR once you satisfy the requirements.
