NZQBA has formed a relationship with Inland Revenue so members gain Bookkeeper Agent status!
NZQBA has formed a relationship with Inland Revenue (IR) which enables Certified and Qualified members to gain Bookkeeping Agent status with IR.
The main benefit for Bookkeepers if they register with Inland Revenue is one logon – it means a bookkeeper does not have multiple logons for each client in myIR which can take time going in and out of clients separate myIR accounts. Bookkeepers can have one logon and the clients are linked and would sit in the bookkeepers myIR space (similar to a tax agent), saving time and money. You will be eligible to gain Bookkeeping Agent status with IR once you reach 10 clients. You will also receive a relationship manager to help you grow your business.
There are three easy steps to become a Registered Bookkeeping Agent with IR*:
Step 1: Visit Inland Revenue’s intermediary registration page and follow the instructions;
Step 2: Complete the statutory declaration requirements;
Step 3: Become a Bookkeeping Agent with IR once you satisfy the requirements.
*You must be a Certified or Qualified Bookkeeper before applying.
